Silver alginate wound dressing
Alexer® Silver alginate wound dressing is a sterile, conformable, and highly absorbent dressing composed of natural alginate fibers and silver ions. Upon contact with wound exudate, it rapidly forms a soft gel that conforms to the wound bed, trapping exudate while maintaining a moist healing environment. The sustained release of ionic silver provides broad-spectrum antimicrobial protection to reduce the risk of infection.
Product Description

STEP1 Cleanse the wound site in accordance with local clinical protocol. Gently dry the surrounding skin.
STEP2 Apply the dressing to cover the wound surface, allowing a 1–2 cm overlap onto intact skin.
STEP3 For deep cavity wounds, loosely pack the ribbon dressing into the cavity without over-packing.
STEP4 Cover and secure with an appropriate secondary dressing (e.g., secondary film dressing or adhesive foam).
INDICATIONS
Alexer® alginate wound dressing is Indicated for the management of moderate to heavily exuding, full and partial thickness wounds that are infected or at risk of infection, including:
○ Pressure ulcers / Injury (Phase I–IV)
○ Leg ulcers (venous, arterial, and mixed etiology)
○ Diabetic foot ulcers
○ Cavity and sinus wounds (Rope/Ribbon formulation)
○ Donor sites and surgical post-operative wounds
○ Second-degree burns
